Hospitality environments are shaped through strategic planning, guest psychology, operational awareness, and experience-driven design.

Hospitality environments are built on decisions made long before a material is selected or a concept is rendered. How a guest arrives. How a space performs across a full day of operation. How design supports the business behind the experience.

Black Label Designs is a hospitality design studio led by Pria Rajput, a Cornell University-certified hotel planner and designer with an architectural technology background. The studio works with hotel owners, developers, and operators on projects spanning hotel planning, interior design, brand development, and commercial repositioning from the earliest planning stage through to full design documentation.

The work is planning-led. Every project begins with understanding how the space needs to function before determining how it should look.

Hotel Planning & Design

Hotel planning is a distinct discipline. It requires a working understanding of how hotels function operationally before a single design decision is made . How guests arrive, how rooms are configured for efficiency and comfort, how public spaces support revenue, how staff and guest circulation are separated, and how every spatial decision connects back to the guest experience and the performance of the asset.

Black Label Designs approaches hotel projects through this lens. Principal Pria Rajput holds a Hotel Planning and Design certification from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration, one of the world's leading institutions in hospitality management. Her training covers guestroom planning and room mix strategy, public space programming, food and beverage environments, wellness amenities, guest psychology, arrival sequencing, and hospitality operations. This is the foundation every BLD hotel project is built on.

Alongside this, Pria brings an architectural technology background from NAIT, giving the studio the technical fluency to work across planning, documentation, and consultant coordination, not just concept and aesthetics.

What this means for your project: BLD can engage at the planning stage, not just the design stage. We work with hotel owners, developers, and operators to ensure that spatial decisions are made with full awareness of brand standards, guest behaviour, operational flow, and long-term asset performance. Whether the project is a new development, a repositioning, a branded flag conversion, or a renovation, the approach is the same: plan first, design second.

Our approach extends beyond aesthetics. We view hospitality environments as business ecosystems where spatial experience, customer behaviour, atmosphere, operations, and brand perception directly influence retention, engagement, scalability, and revenue opportunities.

Every hospitality concept is approached through both a guest experience and business strategy lens, considering how environments support customer flow, operational efficiency, cultural relevance, emotional connection, and long-term commercial value.
